Bloating, bloating, heartburn, and frequent gassing after eating are some of its symptoms. Gastralgia occurs when too much air enters our digestive system or when bacteria in the intestines produce too much gas when they break down food. Here are the 5 main scientific reasons behind it:

Aerophagia: Swallowing air while eating is a major cause of gas in the stomach. When we swallow food too quickly without chewing it, talk while eating, drink drinks through a straw, and chew gum, a large amount of air enters the body and later turns into gas.

Gut Bacteria Fermentation: Our large intestine is home to billions of good bacteria that aid in digestion. When these bacteria ferment the complex carbohydrates and fibers in some of the foods we eat, they release gases like hydrogen, methane, and carbon dioxide. This is why we tend to get gassy when we eat legumes, peas, root vegetables, and cabbage.

Food Intolerance: Some people have a reduced ability to digest certain foods. For example, they have an intolerance to lactose, which is found in milk and dairy products, or a sensitivity to gluten, which is found in wheat. When these people eat these foods, they pass them through the intestines without being fully digested, causing severe gas and diarrhea.

Constipation & Slow Digestion: In people with constipation, undigested food remains remain in the large intestine for a longer period of time. This gives the bacteria in the intestine more time to ferment and causes a large amount of gas to be produced. Decreased metabolism and lack of exercise can slow down digestion.

Acidity and Gastritis (Gastritis & GERD): Gastritis is an inflammation of the stomach lining. Chronic mental stress, irregular eating habits, excessive consumption of spicy and sour foods, and caffeine (tea/coffee) consumption cause excessive production of acid in the stomach. When this acid flows back into the esophagus (Acid Reflux), severe heartburn and gas are experienced.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

1

post-31243","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-job
["GET
