Don’t ignore leg pain and numbness; these could be the main causes!

If you experience weakness in your legs along with pain or numbness extending to your feet, you should consult a neurologist or orthopedic doctor for advice. A simple X-ray or MRI can detect disc-related problems. Vitamin-rich foods and regular exercise can provide great relief.

This symptom can range from simple fatigue to serious health problems. The main causes are as follows:

1. Sciatica
This is caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve caused by a herniated disc in the spine.

Symptoms: Severe pain and numbness that starts in the lower back and spreads through the thigh to the knee and foot.

2. Diabetic Neuropathy
If diabetes is not controlled, it can damage the nerves in the legs.

Symptoms: Numbness, tingling, and pins and needles in the legs are signs of this.

3. Reduced blood flow (Peripheral Artery Disease)
Fat buildup in the arteries in the legs can cause muscle pain and numbness.

4. Nutritional Deficiency
Deficiency of vitamin B12 and vitamin D can affect nerve function. This can cause chronic swelling and numbness in the legs.

5. Varicose Veins
Blood pooling in the veins of the legs can cause the legs to feel heavy and swollen.

Things you can do at home to reduce pain:
Light exercise: Walking for 20 minutes every day will improve blood flow.

Stretching: Slowly stretching your legs while lying down or sitting will help relieve muscle pain.

Keep warm: Warm water is a good way to reduce muscle pain.
