Are you always tired? These are the main causes of anemia!

There can be many reasons behind anemia. The important ones are as follows:

1. Iron Deficiency Anemia
This is the most common cause of anemia. The body needs iron to make hemoglobin. Anemia occurs when there is a lack of iron in the diet or when the body is unable to absorb it properly.

2. Vitamin Deficiency Anemia
Vitamin B12 and folate (folic acid) are essential for the production of red blood cells. Their deficiency reduces the production of blood cells.

3. Blood LossExcessive blood loss from the body can cause anemia.

Excessive bleeding during menstruation.

Internal bleeding due to ulcers, piles or colon cancer.

Blood loss due to accidents.

4. Chronic diseases
Diseases such as cancer, AIDS, kidney disease, and rheumatoid arthritis can interfere with the production of red blood cells.

5. Genetics
Sickle cell anemia and thalassemia are inherited anemia diseases. In these, the blood cells produced by the body are abnormally shaped or are destroyed quickly.

The main symptoms of anemia:
Excessive fatigue and weakness.

Pale color of the skin and nails.

Shortness of breath, dizziness.

Increased chest pain.

Feeling cold in the hands and feet.

To treat anemia, include iron-rich leafy greens, dates, eggs, spinach, and gooseberries in your diet. Since the body needs vitamin C to absorb iron, it is a good idea to include foods like lemonade with your diet. If you experience symptoms, a CBC blood test can help determine your hemoglobin level.
