Why does blood pressure (BP) increase? 6 main reasons!

The main factors behind the increase in BP are as follows:

1. Excessive salt intake
Excessive salt (sodium) in the diet is the main cause of high blood pressure. Salt causes water retention in the body, which increases the pressure in the blood vessels.
