Why does diabetes occur? 6 main reasons!

The main reasons for diabetes are as follows:

1. Genetics
Family history is of great importance in the case of diabetes. If parents or close relatives have diabetes, the risk of inheriting it is very high.

2. Obesity and lack of exercise
Less physical activity and weight gain cause insulin resistance. When the cells do not respond properly to the insulin produced by the body, the blood sugar level increases.

3. Pancreatic dysfunction
Insulin is produced by the pancreas. When the pancreas is damaged for any reason or insulin production stops (Type 1 Diabetes), diabetes occurs.

4. Wrong diet
Regular consumption of excessively sweet foods, flour dishes, fast food, and artificial drinks can adversely affect the function of insulin. A diet low in fiber increases the risk of diabetes.

5. Stress
When there is excessive stress, hormones such as cortisol are produced in the body. These inhibit the natural function of insulin and raise blood sugar levels.

6. Hormonal changes
Hormonal changes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes) or health problems such as PCOS in women can lead to diabetes.

Main symptoms to watch out for:
Excessive thirst and hunger.

Frequent urination (especially at night).

Blurred vision, slow healing of wounds.

Chronic fatigue and weakness.
