“FAST” is an internationally used method to easily recognize stroke symptoms.
1. Face (face)
Look at whether one side of the face droops when asked to smile. One side of the mouth hanging down is the main symptom of a stroke.
2. Arms (arms)
Ask to raise both arms. If one arm cannot be raised or if one arm falls down on its own after being raised, it is a danger sign.
3. Speech (speech)
Pay attention to whether words are confused when speaking. When asked to say a simple sentence, it is unclear or meaningless words are a symptom of a stroke.
4. Time (time)
Even if you see any of the above symptoms, take the patient to a hospital with stroke treatment facilities (CT Scan facilities) without delay.
Some other symptoms:
Sudden blurred vision or loss of vision in one eye.
Sudden weakness or numbness on one side of the body.
Severe headache.
Loss of balance, difficulty walking.
