Stroke can be prevented in advance! Identify these 5 main causes that affect brain health

Stroke is a condition in which blood flow to the brain is interrupted or blood vessels rupture. If not treated on time, it can have serious consequences. The main causes are:

High blood pressure (Hypertension): This is the biggest cause of stroke. When blood pressure increases, the thin blood vessels in the brain are put under pressure and are more likely to rupture or block.

Cholesterol and blockage in the arteries: An increase in fat (LDL) in the blood can cause blockage in the blood vessels to the brain. This can stop blood flow and cause ischemic stroke.

Heart diseases: Due to heart rhythm disorders (Atrial Fibrillation) or heart valve problems, blood clots can form and travel to the blood vessels in the brain and cause blockage.

Diabetes and obesity: High blood sugar levels damage blood vessel health. Obesity and lack of exercise exacerbate this.

Smoking and alcohol: Smoking increases the risk of blood clots and hardens blood vessels. Excessive alcohol consumption can cause high blood pressure and stroke.
