Obesity and lack of exercise: When you gain weight, pressure increases on the blood vessels in the pelvic area. This problem is also seen in people who sit for long periods of time.

 

Dehydration: Not drinking enough water causes stool to become hard. Drinking at least 3 liters of water daily will help ease digestion and prevent hemorrhoids.
