Are you suffering from back pain? 5 main causes

Back pain is a health problem that is common in most people today, regardless of age. Lifestyle changes play a major role in this. The main factors that lead to back pain are:

Poor Posture: The most common cause of back pain is poor sitting and standing posture. Using a computer or mobile phone for long periods of time while hunched over puts excessive pressure on the muscles and ligaments in the spine.

Muscle Strain: Sudden movements such as lifting heavy objects or suddenly bending the body can damage the muscles or nerves in the back. Not giving proper rest after strenuous physical exertion can also cause pain.

Disc Issues in the Spine: Slipped Disc or wear and tear of the discs between the vertebrae in the spine can cause severe back pain. When this puts pressure on the nerves, the pain can spread to the legs (sciatica).

Lack of exercise and obesity: As you gain weight, the weight your spine has to bear increases. This weakens the muscles in your back. Not doing exercises that relax your muscles can lead to persistent back pain.

Stress: When you experience severe stress, the muscles in your body tighten. Studies show that this can cause chronic pain and discomfort in your back muscles.
